What a start to my wedding season. The first two of the year have been probably the most unique experiences I have yet to be faced with in my photography career. The ability to play a role in someone's wedding as a photographer is one thing, but having the opportunity to be a member of the bridal party AND play a critical role in the photography is whole different ball game. Not to mention having the opportunity to do this twice. There is no other word but honoured.
Gabriel and Kaitlin are two very special people in my life. Kaitlin and I have known each other for a number of years. And while Gabriel has been in my life for a few years less, he has quickly assumed a very crucial role in my life and for that I am forever grateful. He represents Kaitlin's other half. Her happiness. He brings a smile to my best friend's face every day and for that I can only say thank you over and over again.
Gabriel and Kaitlin were married up SFU amongst the visually stunning concrete jungle of the University. Of course their day did not start there, we began the adventure with a relaxing morning while the ladies got themselves together. We spent an afternoon down in Rocky Point Park where the happy couple celebrated a first look in style underneath the perfect sunny sky. We captured some memorable bridal party moments and then made our way up Burnaby Mountain for the main event. Of course the event went off without a hitch and the night ended with the crowd dancing long into the night. Definitely a success.
Thank you Gabriel and Kaitlin for allowing Sam and I to be a part of your day and for allowing us to capture these lovely moments. I know I speak on behalf of us both when I say that we will truly never forget this perfect wedding. The shots below are a combination of the images Sam Rose Photography and I captured together.
