Tony and Jasmin's Engagement - Alouette Lake, Pitt Meadows, BC

When my clients and I sit down to discuss locations for their sessions I always tell them that the most successful locations are those that are personal or those that are a part of their everyday life.  I find that a familiar location is one that represents part of their journey as a couple and allows them to be the most comfortable in front of the camera.  For their engagement session Tony and Jasmin selected Alouette Lake.  Alouette Lake is arguably one of the most beautiful locations I have ever had the pleasure of shooting at.  To this day I am blown away by the landscapes we overlook in our backyards. I can honestly say that Tony and Jasmin have brought me to a beautiful slice of BC that I will continue to visit for years to come.

Tony and Jasmin are so in love.  You can see it for yourself throughout their session, but when he looks at her he does so in a way as if it may be his last.  I find the love they share for one another inspiring.  Ive said it before but my absolute favourite part of wedding photography is having the opportunity to play a small role in the lives of two people and the journey they share together.  I am truly honoured to have this opportunity with Tony and Jasmin.

Tony and Jasmin brought me to Alouette Lake where we spent a chilly winter afternoon down by the water and on a walk through the forest with the dogs.  We started our session off with a quick family portrait with the dogs to update the last one we took a while back.  We spent some time on the beach watching the sun go down over the absolutely breathtaking backdrop before making our way down to the docks.  We finished the session with a quick stroll through the forest before we lost the light entirely.

With only 6 months to go before their big day Tony and Jasmin's wedding will be here before we know it.  I can't wait to play a roll in what I hope will be the most special day of their lives!
